One week, one website, one mission
How Origin created Wesleyan’s coronavirus website in record time
How Origin created Wesleyan’s coronavirus website in record time
Wesleyan Assurance, based in Birmingham, appointed Origin in 2008 to create a new and improved website that enhanced online customer experiences and has been a loyal client ever since.
Origin's studios in Leamington Spa and Lithuania have been busy creating a new website for Wesleyan, aimed squarely at providing their customers with up-to-the-minute information, support, advice and reassurance they may need during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Crafted on an Origin Umbraco platform, the site was designed and built within a week, then delivered to the Wesleyan Marketing and Support teams to populate with content. The simple-to-use editing tools meant little training was needed, and the teams could start adding content from day one.
Sue Irons, Wesleyan’s Web Manager, said: “Origin really pulled out the stops, allowing us to go from concept to finished site in record time. The simplicity of the CMS allows our editors to quickly add content and get sign-off quickly, which is essential in these unprecedented times.”
Origin will maintain and host the site indefinitely, providing their usual high level of technical and digital support. Phil Davies, our Digital Project Manager, said: “We are delighted to have been of service to Wesleyan on this fast paced project. They come to us, because they know we have the agility to produce things quickly and to a budget.”

(Let’s be honest, we’ve all bounced off a site because it didn’t load fast enough — and our attention spans are now officially shorter than a goldfish’s. Literally.)
